Les Miles is appearing in a movie as a cop. That's old news. And, in addition to roles in some commercials, he played a character named Billy in The Last Whistle :. While he was at LSU, he became famous for eating grass on the field of wherever his team was playing:.
He eats that grass. I guess he says it has a lot of protein. Unfortunately the Jayhawks play on turf, but there are loads of fields in Kansas that he can eat plenty of grass on. Look at this greenery he can roam through every Saturday!

Pepper debuted the latest commercial in its "Fansville" ad campaign. A bite-sized spoof of sports-centric dramas like 'Friday Night Lights', the commercials first grabbed the attention of LSU fans last year when they caught a brief glimpse of former LSU football coach Les Miles.
But little did we know just how well Miles' cameo would pay off months later, in the final commercial of the campaign. The set-up for Monday's ad in prime time involved the theft of the National Championship trophy. By the end of the second spot, we discover the Mad Hatter himself had made off with the award. We have the guy who was raised by a man named Bubba and coached by a man named Bo bound for the Carrier Dome on Saturday afternoon. We have Les Miles, his own self, about to take his 8th-ranked Louisiana State Tigers up against the unbeaten Syracuse University Orange in what bodes to be the most compelling date on SU's home calendar.
Now, you know Les. He's the year-old fella who kneels, prays and eats a bit of grass before every game although good luck with that in the Dome. He's the eccentric who'll hesitate not at all to call the odd trick play, who'll periodically rattle the cage of the clock-management gods, who'll take the occasional tumble coming out of the tunnel. He dines at the Waffle House, smiles more by lunchtime than Doug Marrone did in his four seasons running the Orange and wears a white baseball cap high atop his head which only partially explains his nickname of "The Mad Hatter".
