How tall is tyler wilson arkansas

Also liking Matt Scott. Also watched Tyler Wilson's episode. Good stuff. The QB mentioned footwork as the biggest area of improvement when we chatted at the Sr Bowl. To recap a bit on my previous thoughts on Tyler Wilson: Tough kid. Short memory. Solid arm. Inconsistent accuracy. Ball placement concerning. That said, he is an effective play-action passer and does very well with a moving pocket. His ability to keep his eyes downfield while on the move will be a tremendous asset at the next level.

The following screen caps illustrate a play in which Wilson impressively demonstrates this quality. First, while scanning the field, he can sense the pass rush coming from his right side.

In this frame, we see Wilson breaking the pocket and rolling out to his left. Notice how he keeps his eyes downfield at all times while waiting for a passing lane to open. Finally, Wilson creates a window and delivers an accurate ball on the move.

This ability to keep his composure with a moving pocket separates him from other quarterbacks in this class. As a junior, Wilson looked like he may be a top pick.

Unfortunately the Arkansas program fell on hard times during his last year. He was victimized by drops throughout the season, but his play slipped down the stretch. I believe he has the potential to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. As a rookie, he may be best suited as a backup. Schematically, Wilson is not necessarily limited but he is not a perfect fit for any particular offense.

Get the latest on their progress as well as insight from the Fantasy LIVE crew on whom to be worried about. The Tennessee Titans cut quarterback Tyler Wilson.

It is the second year in a row the former fourth-round pick couldn't make it through a training camp without being released. Every year a handful of teams surprise us by drafting a rookie QB earlier than expected. Here are five teams, including Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys, that might have something up their sleeve this year.

Jake Locker has one season to prove himself to the Tennessee Titans. Ian Rapoport reports the teams has decided not to exercise the quarterback's fifth-year option. Is a bounce-back campaign in the works? That willingness to stay in the pocket has nearly killed him. He's taken several violent hits and suffered a concussion early in the season during The Unspeakable Game. That caused him to miss the Alabama game but he played the rest of the year and is fine now, but he'll need to do a better job of avoiding those hits in the NFL.

He took some heat for calling out people for quitting during the Alabama game, but most people understood there was no leadership from the coaches at that point, so locally few were upset with him.

When the team was struggling he tried to force things to happen during the dreadful season and that's when he made most of his mistakes. I believe he felt a huge responsibility to have a great season and when it didn't happen he grew frustrated, but so was everybody else. It'd be much easier to prognosticate Wilson if we knew how well Ryan Mallett was doing in New England.

Bobby Petrino's quarterbacks from Louisville never did much in the NFL, but Wilson and Mallett seem to have all the tools to have a fine career. Arkansas didn't have a very good offensive line in nor , so if he can get drafted by a team with a solid line, I think he'll be pretty good.
